This invitation to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Berklee@Ottobrunn collaboration has a special meaning in our lives. In these uncertain times, we come together through music to deliver a message of hope, unity, and partnership.
Berklee Global Jazz Institute is honored to represent Berklee College of Music at this event, which will celebrate my mentor and creative genius, Wayne Shorter.
One of the goals of BGJI is to inspire young artists to cultivate their talents for the betterment of humanity. Our ambassadors are current students in the Master of Music in Global Jazz program who represent some of Berklee's most forward-thinking students.
Thanks to the city of Ottobrunn and its Mayor, Thomas Loderer, and everyone who helped make this exchange possible.
My gratitude and congratulations to Berklee alumnus and colleague Cornelius Claudio Kreusch and his brother, Johannes Tonio Kreusch, for their vision, commitment, perseverance, and dedication to fostering artistic development and educational collaborations to benefit youth.
The artist's role at this time is essential to re-imagine a new world.
Let the music begin, or as Wayne would say before going on stage every time, let’s go and make a movie.
